All our running leagues will follow the below format and set of competition rules in accordance with ESSEX COUNTY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION laws of the game for small sided competition.
Points awarded for league matches will be : - a win 3 points , a draw 1 point , a defeat 0 points.
Teams will pay their full match fees before they play in any competition in this league. The manager/captain of each team will pay their match fees to the co-ordinator and name their team on team sheets provided prior to kick-off .Teams failing to pay in full before each match shall forfit (lose) the match 4-0.
Any team not paying the full match fee amount will not be allowed to play.
If at any time a team fails to arrive on time for their match they will lose a goal every 6 minutes that they are late. If a team fails to show for their game they will be charged their match fee the following week for not fulfilling fixture and lose the game 4 - 0.

COMPETITION RULES.
NORMAL & SMALL SIDED LAWS OF ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL APPLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS FOR THIS LEAGUE.
1) The home team kicks off 1st half . The away team kicks off 2nd half.
2) Their is no age limit for the senior leagues we run. Our youth league all players must be under 18 on the commence date of the season. on reaching 18 the team will be placed into the senior league the following season.
3) There is no over head height restriction or offside rule in operation within our astro leagues. However our indoor leagues have a head height restriction of 6 foot 3 inches.
4) All throw in and corners are kicked into play with the defending team being 2 metres away from the ball.
5) There are no sliding challenges allowed within these leagues and persisitant offenders will receive a blue card and 2-3 minutes timed suspension when referee issues a blue card.
6a) No players except the goalkeeper is allowed in his penalty area. Goalkeepers comming out of their area and defenders going inside thier area will be penalised by an award of a penalty kick against them, attackers doing likewise will be penalised by awarding an free kick against them to the defending side.
6b) A goalkeeper will not hold onto the ball once he is in safe possesion of the ball in his hands for over 6 seconds. Infringement by goalkeeper an indirect free kick shall be awarded to the attacking team 2 meters from the goalarea.
7a) Penalty kicks will be awarded as in (5a) a player will be allowed 1 step before kicking the ball goalwards.
7b) When a goal is scored the goalkeeper who has just conceeded a goal will restart the game with a throw out from his area.
8) all penial offence freekicks are direct and opposition players must be 2 metres from the ball.
9) A goal can be scored direct from a kick-off either from the start of the game or after halftime.
10) A goal can`t be scored direct from a kick in throw or directly from the goalkeeper rolling / throwing the ball out into play.
11) BLUE cards will be issued for the following cautionable offences and will receive a timed suspension of 3 minutes out of the game. UNGENTLEMANLY CONDUCT , UNSPORTING BEHAVIOUR , DISSENT BY WORD OR ACTION TO AN OFFICIAL. For indoor leagues slamming players into the wall & sliding challenges will also be blue card offences. A player receiving 2 blue cards during a season will automatically miss the next match then another match after a further 2 blue cards and so on till last week of the season when all blue cards will be recinded for the new season.
12a) Dismissals will be issued in the form of a RED card for the following offences and the offending player will be suspended a 1-3 match ban will be imposed with immediate effect depending on severity of offence DENYING AN OBVIOUS GOALSCORING OPPORTUNITY, SEROIUS FOUL PLAY, 2ND BLUE CARD IN THE SAME MATCH & ABUSIVE LANGUAGE TO ANOTHER PLAYER(S) . ALL OTHER RED CARD OFFENCES WILL BE DEALT WITH BY ESSEX COUNTY FA.
12b) No suspended player will play for any team whilst under an Essex County Fa or M.E.S.League suspension. If caught playing will be deamed using an illegable player and match will be deamed null and void and replayed ( Management Commitee to review & ammend this rule at next meeting in June).
13) |There will be a zero tolerance in place for Violent conduct and foul & abusive langage/gestures will not be tolerated by MID ESSEX SUPA LEAGUE officials and will impose AUTOMATIC SUSPENSIONS/DEREGESTRATION FROM ALL OUR LEAGUES.
14) Substitutes are permitted and can be used at any point during the game when a stoppage occurs . Substitutes are roll on roll off and a maximum of 3 substitutes can be used per match.
15) Team squads are unlimited but require a date of birth for every player that signs on their 1st appearance .
16) If a team fails to show then a friendly will be arranged and the team turning up will be awarded the game 4 - 0 . the defaulting team will be required to pay for the missed match the following week if an alternative team cant be found to fill the absent teams gap. Two (2) failed weeks as a no show will result in that defaulting team may be removed from the competition and if possible a replacement team will be put in their place. ALL TEAMS MUST PAY FULL AMOUNT FOR FRIENDLIES
17) At the end of the match the referee will collect the goalscorers from both teams and nominate a man of the match for each game and at the end of the season the player with the most nominations will be presented with an award.
18) Teams are requested to EMAIL OR TEXT their team to the LEAGUE MANAGER to write down on the team sheet provided prior to the match by 7pm on the event night and also to pay in full the match fee also to be provided with date of births for every new player that signs on for the club on the event night.
19) Length of league matches are 2 equal halves of 12 minutes, for all cup competitions where a result is needed on the day matches will be 2 equal halves of 11 minutes if the score remains level then penalties will decide the winner in accordance to FIFA regulations.
20) Shinpads will be worn by all outfield players except goalkeepers if they so wish. Jewelery will be removed before playing any match. Footwear will be Astroturf boots or trainers only.
21) Any team wishing to withdraw at any point during the season are required to give the league 2 weeks notice or pay £40 to remove the club from any competition. Players regestered with a club that withdraws with immediate effect will not be allowed to sign for another team until a £5 release fee is paid.
22) Any match that for whatever reason is abandoned before 80% of the match has been completed unless Floodlight failure or Serious Injury or Adverse Weather will be deameed null and viod and will be replayed at the end of the season and both teams will be charged full match fees for any replayed match. If over 80% has been played the result stands.
23) Any new team that wishes to transfer players from existing teams must contact the manager and request a transfer of a player. Players may only transfer once per season so long as they have no debt with the existing club that is unpaid. The league Manager will inform clubs acceptance/denial of transfer request. No player as of 24/02/2011 will be allowed to transfer to another club during the season once a season has started. The only exception to this is if a club folds so long as there is no debt owing a player may play for an existing a club from a non exisiting club.
24) From 1st January 2010 a player not regestered to a club or not played 1 league match in the current season for a club up to the & including the league cup semi final will not be eligable to play for any team for that season.
25) Only players, substitutes & team manager will be permitted pitchside of the barrier during their time slot allocated any player kicking footballs onto the pitch whilst a game is in progress will be removed pitchside for the remainder of the game if a substitue will only be allowed on pitchside on the approval of the referee.
26) Teams playing a second match in the same night will recieve a 25% discount for their second match fees.
27) All event presentations will be done at the Victoria public house on either a Wednesday or Sunday after the season has finished. M.E.S.L will lay on food on these presentation nights.
